Maintenance and care instructions
In order to get our product to last for a long time and to be covered by our guarantee we ask you to follow the care instructions included in your order.

Aluminium details
- Remove all labels from the product so they won’t cause permanent marks on the surface.
- Clean the surfaces with a soft cloth, lukewarm water and mild detergent. For stains such as oil or wax, sparing use of acetone can help.
- Do not use products with abrasives or abrasive surfaces as this will cause scratches on the aluminum.
- Do not clean with acids or alkalis.
- To avoid discoloration, do not clean aluminium details during the hottest days of the year.
Painted aluminium details
- Remove all labels from the product so they won’t cause permanent marks on the surface.
- Clean the surfaces with a soft cloth, lukewarm water and mild detergent.
- Do not use products with abrasives or abrasive surfaces as this will cause scratches on the painted surface. Do not use cleaning products with solvents, thinner, acetone, acids, lye or alkalis.
- Avoid hard impacts with sharp details against the painted surface as the lacquer can be damaged and moisture can penetrate and cause the lacquer to drop.
Stainless steel
- Remove all labels from the product so they won’t cause permanent marks on the surface.
- Clean the surfaces with a soft cloth, lukewarm water and mild detergent.
- Do not use products with abrasives or abrasive surfaces such as steel wool and metal brushes as this cause scratches on the stainless steel surface which impairs the material’s resistance to corrosion (rust).
- If the stainless steel parts have come into contact with metal particles from non-stainless steel products, these particles must be removed as soon as possible as they rust and can infect the stainless steel.
- As stainless steel, despite its name, is not resistant to corrosion, all stainless steel parts needs to be maintained and cleaned 1-3 times a year. If the railing is mounted in an environment close to the sea, it may need it more often.
Glass
- Clean the glass surfaces with a soft cloth and polish for windows and mirrors. For more severe stains, rubbing methylated spirit can be used. Then clean with the polish again.
- Do not use polish with abrasives on glass.
Wooden details (outside and inside)
- Remove all labels from the product so they won’t cause permanent marks on the surface.
- Clean the handrail with a soft cloth, lukewarm water and mild detergent.
- The wood can be easily sanded with fine-grained sandpaper in the fiber direction, which will get rid of the fibers in the wood that have risen after the first cleaning.
- Treat with an impregnating product such as wood oil or a product that is adapted to the prevailing conditions (optional for indoor use).
- Repeat the impregnating treatment regularly depending on how exposed the wooden parts are. Weather and weather conditions are among thing that affects how often the product will need maintenance.
Painted materials
- Clean handrails in stainless steel, painted aluminium & wood with a soft cloth, lukewarm water and mild detergent.
- Unpainted handrail in wood can can be easily sanded with fine-grained sandpaper in the fiber direction, which will get rid of the fibers in the wood that have risen after the first cleaning. If the handrail is placed outside it should be impregnated with for example wood oil. Repeat the impregnating treatment regularly depending on how exposed the wooden parts are. Weather and weather conditions are among thing that affects how often the product will need maintenance.
- Do not use cleaning products with grinding effect for handrail in painted wood.
